SNOW DAY #2!!!

Yup, it happened again. School is closed today as well!!! I love that Colorado doesn't say just suck it up we're in the mountains (Em, I totally agree with your comment, we never had a snow day in Utah, even when it was like -20 in Logan and the canyon was closed, etc). Although, as I get more work done (still not enough it seems), I now begin thinking that at some point all the stuff we missed is not just going to go to the wayside. They are going to have to make us make it up. So, I guess I better enjoy my two free days before they start re-scheduling into a few really ridiculous days! Anyway, I have some pics of all the snow I'll post soon. Although, really it's only like 16", so it's a dump, but didn't think I'd get two snow days out of it. Once again, however, I'll take them.

SNOW DAY!!!!!

Yee-Haw, first real snow of the season and it's a blizzard enough to get us a snow day! Not that I really can lay around and relax, it's more of a day to catch up and maybe possibly get slightly ahead, although not convinced as of yet that that's possible. Anyway, got about 30 pages read and outlined about acute renal failure. This evening I'm hoping to begin studying the dosing of a bunch of OTC meds. So, fun fun snow day and glad to see winter looks like it's here to stay. But, hey, it's a snow day nonetheless and I ain't complaining. I WILL TAKE IT!! Keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow as well, 'cuz supposedly it's not supposed to stop 'til Friday and it hasn't let up yet.

It's been a while...

So, I haven't posted anything in a while as I have seriously not had any time. Sleep has become a strong competitor with blogging, and sad to admit, it usually wins. At any rate, two weekends ago I was able to fly home for a day to good ol' Utah and go to my bridal shower that Amber and her awesome fam had put together for me. Cherie (Rob's mom) was awesome enough to pick me up from the airport, let me use my car to go get my haircut, return and then drive me down to McCormick (near Delta) for my bridal shower. It was mainly Amber's fam (whom are all my great friends) and then Emily and Hayley, as well as Rob's mom and Aunt Iva. It was sooooo fun. There was great food, awesome people, and a lovely "halloweeny" location (Amber's mom decorates like a professional craft shop). It was awesome to be able to get back and hang out with everyone I used to see almost weekly if not daily. Unfortunately, while I was there, Rob was in CO hanging out with my dad and step-mom for the day while I was gone. They had come to visit for the weekend and we had a great time as well. We ate sushi twice, which is AMAZING, and they got in some good sightseeing and time with me when I wasn't at school or studying. It was relaxing, fun, and nice to allow myself a slight break from school. But, now I'm back at it and I've realized it really is not going to give any relief until four years from now. So, better buckle down for the storm. Other than that, Rob is doing an awesome job holding the house together as well as keeping me motivated and being incredibly supportive. It's actually been awesome to have him here with me, and I don't think I'd still be here if it weren't for him. It is now the awesome bi-polar fall weather in the west with one day snowing and the next 80's. Gotta love it. But, soon will be all snow and I think it's headed that direction. We have finally turned on the heat and it seems that highs of 50's are all we're going to get as far as warming back up until winter. I'm ready though, it's always fun to break out the jackets again. So, this morning it snowed and now it's just a gray sleety/snowy day in Colorado. Good for a lot of studying. That's what I'll be doing. There's the update, sorry it's kinda just informative and boring, but, hey, my life is pretty darn boring these days, what can I say.

Rob, slightly addicted...

Now that Rob does not have to study when he is not working (although he does walk the dogs and vacuum, etc. as I had mentioned before) he has a lot of free time while I study in which to feed his addiction. As we all know, with extra time available for an addiction, the worse it becomes. (note: this is not something I am worried about, so the use of "addiction" is much more light hearted than a true fearful problem) Well, this is the case here in our lovely home in Colorado...Rob now watches Sunday football with complete enthusiasm and tunnel vision. To the point where the past two Sunday's he has emerged from his room after breakfast in order to have his own little "football party" as if he were actually at the game and people were there in the stadium cheering with him and wearing the supporting colors and apparel. Well, nope, no people, and nope, just in our living room. However, that has not phased his festivities. Here are the pictures of his past two "Sunday football outfits" (I bet you can guess which games he is watching)...And, no, I did not make him put these on, I simply took pictures so that you could all share the strangeness that has become part of our Sunday afternoons - I call him Rob, he is a TRUE FAN.
